Our Educators

All Family Day Care Educators are early childhood education and care professionals. They work within the principles and practices of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the requirements of the National Quality Framework. All Educators are required to provide a safe educational environment for children.

What our educators provide is an environment that uses play as a context for learning which encourages all children to access a range of developmentally appropriate resources. This further supports and extends each child's strengths, interests and emerging skills.

While promoting a safe environment, with a focus on every child's health and well-being, our educators also provide opportunities for sustainable living in both indoor and outdoor learning environments.

Establishing a respectful partnership with each child and their family settings while valuing culture and diversity, ensures successful learning outcomes. Our educators are always developing professionally and engage in reflective discussions with our coordinators.

All our educators are required to have the following:

  • Qualified Certificate 3 or Diploma for Early Childhood Education and Care

  • Meet national quality standards which include maintaining quality individualised learning programs, safe and hygienic learning environments, record keeping and qualifications.

  • Maintain current first aid and CPR certificates and training in the emergency management of asthma and anaphylaxis.

  • Have completed Safe Sleep training.

  • Completed child protection training.

  • Hold a current Working with Children clearance.

  • Hold a current National Police Check clearance.

  • Participate in regular support and monitoring visits conducted by their coordinators.
